40 FOOD & BEVERAGE ASIA AUGUST / SEPTEMBER 2018 ON THE TABLE O nce again, at ProPak Asia in June this year, Sidel and Gebo Cermex - forming the Sidel Group - showcased their latest innovative solutions, ranging from aseptic PET packaging solutions to cobotic palletisers and product handling technologies. To catch up with the Group’s developments, Food and Beverage Asia spoke with Mr. Dominique Martin, Vice President Sales South East Asia Paci̬c at Sidel and Mr. Guido Ceresole, Zone Vice President South East Asia Pacific at Gebo Cermex. Based in the same o ̮ ce in Bangkok, Thailand, the two representatives shared how Sidel and Gebo Cermex are working together to meet the changing needs of their customers in the region. Working as One Since 2013, Gebo Cermex has been operating in partnership with Sidel, under the Sidel Group. With Gebo Cermex’s expertise in beer, wine and spirits, as well as food, and Sidel’s know-how in non-alcoholic drinks, such as water, carbonated soft drinks and teas, they became the leading providers of equipment and services for packaging liquid and food in PET, can, glass and other materials. Mr. Ceresole commented, “We work together quite seamlessly as we have the same objectives, same customers and support of the same group. It is important that our customers see us as one unique organisation that can provide expertise in di ̫ erent ̬elds and di ̫ erent industries.” Gebo Cermex and Sidel are a great combination of experience and innovation that provide customers with unmatched depth and scope of competence. “The advantage of being part of the Sidel Group is that each business unit has accumulated a wealth of experience about the di ̫ erent technologies supporting the key steps of a packaging production line – such as packaging design, blowing, ̬lling, labelling, packing, conveying, palletising.
