Effective 1 st December 2018, this important development a ̮ rms IMCD’s commitment to growing the business in the Asia-Paci̬c region. In his new role, Mr. Zuidho ̫ will drive the development and execution of IMCD’s strategy and expand the company’s range of applications and expertise in personal care, food & nutrition, coatings & construction, plastics and pharma. He will report to IMCD’s CEO, Mr. Piet van der Slikke and relocate to IMCD’s regional head o ̮ ce location in Singapore. Mr. Piet van der Slikke commented: “We are very pleased to have Haiko on board our continually expanding APAC team. We are con̬dent that his extensive expertise and experience in the Asia-Pacific region and in relevant industries will help us to further develop and expand the business. APAC is a diverse market for IMCD, with well-established business and countries as well as o ̫ ering opportunities for growth.” Mr. Zuidho ̫ is a Dutch national and studied at Wageningen University, in the Netherlands and has a MSc degree in Food Chemistry. He has worked and lived in Asia for more than 20 years in various senior management roles. Since 2016, he has been living in Bangkok where he worked as the Managing Director of Trouw Nutrition Asia, a Nutreco company. Prior to this, he was stationed in Jakarta, Indonesia and Singapore running several businesses in chemicals, pharma and food & nutrition. Ŷ UNITED CAPS, an international manufacturer of caps and closures, reported that it held a successful event at its Hungarian plant to celebrate the manufacture of its 10 billionth closure this year, its innovative DOUBLEFLOW closure for edible oils. It is the ̬rst time in the company’s history that 10 billion closures have been produced in a 12-month period. Located in Dunavarsány, Hungary, the plant specialises in the production of caps and closures for edible oils and beverages. In line with UNITED CAPS ‘CLOSE TO YOU’ strategy to bring operations close to the customer where appropriate for exceptional customer service, the Dunavarsány plant is the company’s gateway to Eastern Europe. It serves a number of well-known brands in that region, including the Polish brandWielkopolski oil fromPrinces Group, one of Europe’s fastest growing food and drink groups. UNITED CAPS is continuing to invest in the Hungarian plant, with a new manufacturing line already under construction. “We are very proud to have manufactured our 10 billionth closure,” said Mr. Benoit Henckes, CEO of UNITED CAPS. “It is a major milestone that highlights the faith the market puts in UNITED CAPS. The event featured talks by CEO Mr. Henckes and the Dunavarsány Plant Director Mr. Szabolcs Szili. “We at the Dunavarsány plant are honoured to be recognised for producing the 10 billionth closure for UNITED CAPS,” Mr. Szili said.
