6 FOOD & BEVERAGE ASIA OCTOBER / NOVEMBER 2018 NEWS ADM Acquires Probiotics International Limited Krones Appoints New Country Manager in Malaysia Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) recently announced that it has successfully completed its acquisition of Probiotics International Limited – known under its umbrella brand Protexin – a UK- based manufacturer of innovative research- based, natural healthcare and probiotic supplements for human, pet and production- animal use. The £185 million deal is the latest in a series of investments as ADM continues to expand its wide portfolio of health and wellness o ̫ erings for both human and animal nutrition customers. ADM Protexin Limited — as the company will now be known – produces innovative, research-based probiotics, including its popular Bio-Kult ® and Lepicol ® brands.
