Lact’Union Presents Promess Ambient Drinking Yoghurt
The group Lact’Union, a French company located in the North of France, launches an ambient drinking yogurt under the Promess brand. It becomes one of the first French dairy producers to address the export market on the promising segment of ambient drinking yogurt. 100% made from fresh, French milk, Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt combines the quality of the group Lact’Union’s know-how, with the advantages of the Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 200ml, the ideal Tetra Pak package to guarantee a long shelf-life at ambient temperature, without adding any preservatives.
Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt represents a breaking innovation for the French dairy industry and was selected to be part of the SIAL innovation prizes 2018.

Five years ago, the group Lact’Union initiated an export strategy with his subsidiary Lactinov, to find alternative growth areas, resulting in an in-depth change of the company’s policy to meet the requirements of the export market.
Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt is the result of more than two years of R&D initiated by Lactinov to develop an ambient product with the highest quality standards. Halal-certified, Promess Drinking Yogurt completes the Promess range and will be launched in November 2018 and shall be available soon in more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa and Middle-East.
On the global market, the ambient drinking yogurt segment has grown by 16 % between 2015 and 2018, now representing a consumption around 12.5 billion packages, with a quick expansion from South Asia to the Middle East. Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt illustrates the Group Lact’Union international expertise and capabilities to develop premium dairy beverages on the export market.

This new Promess product is a sweetened ambient drinking yogurt, made from 100 % fresh milk. It is produced in one of the group’s factories located on the French region “Les Hauts de France”, with the highest quality standards. The milk is collected within 80km around the factories, guaranteeing perfect traceability.
The package Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 200ml enables a 10 months shelf-life without adding any preservatives. Lactinov and Tetra Pak worked together on the development of added-value products and services specially made for export. For instance, outer cartons contain 24 single units wrapped by 3 and come with a handle to facilitate pick-up. The dimensions are thought to fully optimize the space on the pallets. Convenient and easy to carry, Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt has been developed to resist shipment abroad across long distances.
